24 November Experiment number 1

Today we tried two new experiments. Our first one was Coke and mentos.  We discussed what might happen when the mentos is placed in the Coke and and we had to explain our reasons.  Alex made an interesting suggestion that the mentos had to be rough for it to react with the Coke better.  We went outside and tried the mentos with a small and large bottle of Coke, we tried smooth and rough mentos too.  We didn't notice a big difference.  We discussed more about what we noticed and why it may have happened.  Check out the pictures.
